One more year, and there are already four, Rafaelhoteles by La Pleta 5 * celebrates a new edition of its gastronomic days Michelin stars by La Pleta, a unique day in which diners can meet first-person the most innovative proposals of the most prestigious chefs awarded with a Michelin Star. On this occasion, diners can enjoy the creations of Quim Casellas (January 27), Yolanda León and Juanjo Pérez (February 24), Jérémy Morin (March 3) and Erwan Houssin (March 10).
Quim Casellas repeats edition in the new gastronomic days. From his family restaurant Casamar, in Llafranc, Casellas is committed to a local cuisine, with products from the region and to recover traditional recipes with a touch of modernity. His innovative culinary contributions earned him a Michelin Star in 2011, an award he currently holds.
Yolanda León and Juanjo Pérez opened the restaurant Cocinandos (León) in 2003 after visiting the main kitchens of great restaurants such as Arzak, El Amparo, Zalacaín, Broche Madrid, Casa Marcelo or Echaurren. The bet of this Leonese couple goes through a traditional kitchen renewed and updated, with winks to the traditional cuisine of Leon and products such as meats or spoon dishes. Since 2009 they have a Michelin Star in reward for their perseverance and service. Jérémy Morin also repeats edition with a renewed menu full of surprises.
The chef of the L’Aparté restaurant (Montrabe, France) has worked in the main French kitchens (Yannick Alleno, Bristol, Éric Fréchon or Meurice) until in 2007 he won his first Michelin star at the Metropolitan restaurant (Toulouse). Morin bets for a classic gastronomy elaborated with modern methods, mainly by products of Normandy like the poultries, the vegetables or the foie gras. And finally, nothing better than the proposals of Erwan Houssin, Le Grand Cap restaurant (Leucate, France). Michelin star since he ran his first restaurant in Avignon in 2010, Houssin’s main line-up has come from Franck Putelat and the acclaimed Meurice (Paris). Its main proposals go through the marine flavors, all treated with a delicacy in which their textures and the quality of their dishes are appreciated.
